Hey guys and gals.
I was just curious to see how many of you would go to a cafe/bar here in Toronto, that played strictly trance, and was dedicated to the trance scene ?... It would be something that is poshy and nice inside.. but casual at the same time. Im not talking about throwing stuff at a venue or anything like that. It's something that would be brand new, renovated, and owned.
If so, do you think something like this would be successful and why.
Thanks for your comments

I personally think its a great idea but then again i'm a bit biased when it comes to wanting to hear trance at a bar.
For it to be a successful endevour i think you'd have to create a more eclectic vibe. Like have different nights. YOu can do that and still keep trance as the number one focus.
In the end though its all about PROMOTION... Because i do believe if you build it they will come!!

i think it could work but you would have to have all different sorts of nights...not just trance every night
if you have trance all day everyday...it'll get old fast and it'll be nothing special...
but say...if you restrict trance to friday and saturday...then it'll be something to look forward to every week...and it will show it is still the main focus of the bar/lounge
and you can have other days dedicated to house, breaks, garage, etc.
i think it could work
i mean lots of other places do it
for example insomnia
though ive only been there once and they were playing house (i think)
btw...i volunteer my dj'ing skills if this thing is a go ;)

| good idea, but like people mentioned before, the bar/cafe has to play more than just trance if you want to be succesful, otherwise it's just not gonna work, honestly I would love to hit up a cafe/bar like that and have a mix of everything chill out, trance, and what ever else, breaks maybe! LOL! but I would mainly go there to just chill |

That's not the problem. Steeles & Warden is. That's far for most people I think. Otherwise I'd check it out for sure. |
