Txta Dj Set up thread...

Its been had but im wondering what you guys are djing with now a days. There is a lot of people converting to the 'all in one' set up which is cool and all but Im just curious to see how TXTA peeps are feeling that. Personally, I think Instead of having 2 different sects of 'technics vs cdjs' djs its going to end up 'technics vs cdjs vs dj console.' and of course, turntables being the smallest in the community.
Here is what ive been using lately;
2 x Technics 1210 M5G
2 x QSC K12
2 x QSC KSUB
1 x Rane Empath Rotary
1 x Rane SL4
1 x AKAI LPD 8
Ive always stuck to technics and pioneer mixers in the past but now after trying out rane/allen & heath/others i feel ive been lied to (as far as what I consider quality) because of this 'industry standard.' Keep in mind nothing im saying is hard fact but solid preference.
Hope to strike up some convo in TXTA, this place has been ghostly! |

1 x Rane SL4
1 x iMac 27"
2 x cheap Sony monitors
Want to convert a room into a studio and build a booth once I move in to my next place. For now I keep it in the bedroom... |

Nice. I had some HDJ's that lasted for almost 10 years. Save up for some sick monitors man, I had 2 JRX125 that were loud as but the quality of sound they put out was . That and the diaphragm burns out after a while. Every time I switch on my QSC system Its always absolutely unreal. Did you record your current mix with that set up ? |
