there has to be a way to do this on windows, if one looks for ways to aggregate devices on windows, you should find a way to rename your soundcard(s).
;)
given that, will the trick work in this context I don't know. |

I've never heard of any windows equivalent of aggregate devices like they have on Mac, not saying that it doesn't exist.
From what I gather, it seems to be a feature of the Audio Midi Setup Utility, so without knowing too much about it, I think you'd have to do some decompiling of drivers and stuff to rename it in Windows, but yeah absolutely no expert on Windows.. So I have no idea. Not that I care, If I wanted vinyl emulation I'd just create a usb flash with linux with mixxx installed on it with different users for the different computers I'd use it on. Free and easy and will run everywhere :) |

Thanks guys for the input on this one.
I have literally scoured the web and there is next to nothing in terms of info on Ghetto timecode solutions and this thread is already ranking on google as the 2nd hit for a solutions.
From what I been able to gather, you can use traktor scratch pro 1.2.2 with timecode and any interface by renaming the interface.
The usability of other versions is unknown?
You can use other programs such as mixx and Vdj with traktor timecode vinyl.
Not sure about serato timcode with other platforms.
Serato (software) cannot be used with any other interface than one of the proprietary SL interfaces or a certified rane mixed.
Anyone got any other input? |

Thanks for that, but I think I'm going to get the traktor ones, as I can use them with more programs. |

Ouch. I got my two mk5g's, Senn 7509HD's headphones, two Ortofon Nightclub E, all for less than $1300 brand new from a store about a year before they discontinued them. |

| I bought two for about 300 bucks, one had a broken tonearm. came with ortofon nightclub (or something) pickups. |

RANN hates these kind of sound cards, he likes lavry, mytek, etc |
Do I really need to say anything more?
That's the whole point of this thread. I don't want to have to use some substandard $300 dongle just to use DJ software.
I can use traktor as a DVS with my soundcard so there's really no need for serato.
And the moment someone cracks serato to allow any soundcard, serato will go bust overnight. |
