| You are right we don't know the whole story. After the gig they went back to the hotel, did some more, and had group sex. |

...always wondered why 'fans' in attendance would post these kinds of videos too |

What if someone drugged her ?
We don't know the context therefore I think it's unfair to stamp this as unprofessional.
|
That was my first thought too actually. There's no way to know.

I'm tired of people cutting slack to DJs like Sasha that are too ed up or tired to play with the amount of money they ask for. |
I don't like it either, but it's part of his image and he has made it work for him. |

sort of agree but I don't. When the dj is a constant no-show or cuts his set or plays erratically I think it's mostly a detriment to the dj. Too many talented and "professional" djs waiting in the wings, so the public won't want to waste money (on seemingly rising dj costs) if the dj is guilty of any of the above.
We may skip this guy next time and see someone else instead. But then again, we can't put too much credit in the typical paying customer, as Zeksg noted already in this thread :p |

You can see she already has 4 tracks running on each channels and she just fades from one to another. In order to say it's premixed, you would have to hear a transition without her touching the channels. |
actually she uses 2 channel for tracks and 2 channels for fx processor return.
But clearly she's high as F*** |

| I hear you, I feel the same way, but look objectively at his demand. The general public will flock to see him. The whole "will he show or won't he?" allure works in his favor, contrary to logic. He doesn't really have to worry about his profile diminishing. It shouldn't be, but it is. Granted, most artists don't have the status he does to get away with it. |

Sasha also has couple of decades worth of decent gigs to back his name, so two cancelled shows in Toronto or a half assed set in Montreal won't deter his fans, esp if the booth is so far away we don't really know what the true issue is for the lack of good performance, etc, plus we never really know what the true reason is for absences, sometimes. I really thought his Stereo set was a letdown, esp after the stellar set a few months earlier, but the way djs and music evolve, and the body of work he has produced for so long, he is still worth another shot in my books. But if a dj messes up too many times consecutively, then not so much.
But yeah, Magda looks wacked :p djs are human too, they wanna party a bit, they are surrounded by it and some rely on the stuff to perform if nervous. However, they have to be smart and considerate, they gotta know how tired they are, how much they are taking, what they are taking, how empty the stomach is, etc. And they have to respect the ones paying the bills, at the end of the day. |

| ^ All true. I would add though that Sasha's absences aren't a local fluke. He has a long history of no-shows. He addressed it in the Dealty Heavy DVD where he was specifically held to a $150k fine for any shows missed. |

| lol, I thought just as well but didn't have other concrete examples to prove it. Toronto sucks but I'm sure he had other reasons too :p |
