Haha, nah, I just quit weed ages ago :p
Still occasionally want it though :o
Edit: Weed has been de-criminalised in a couple of AU states (not QLD, where I live). |

Could be, could be. Any thin cardboard is good enough, really. |
Nah man, only thing that'll do is flyers for events printed on 120 g semi glossy paper. I'm the master of cardboard roaches. |

BTG's looks like it has no filter to my eye... |
Do canadians also call the roach a filter? Practically everyone I know in Norway also call them filters, which I think is pretty weird, seeing as it's not there to filter anything out, and if it did, that would be bad. |

semi glossy paper. |
That's not what you want to use as a roach. Even though the roach doesn't touch the flame, the heat alone is enough to cause you to inhale some of those chemicals. Plus glossy paper doesn't stay creased as easily. |

not the gloss on the paper i use. and only noobs fold it. you roll it to allow maximum throughput of smoke yet keeping your finger un-crispy when there's just a little bit left.
edit: i think shiny paper would be a more describing term for what i am using. but yeah, i totally see what you're saying about toxic fumes and . |

Yes, it's called a filter here. It's called a filter because one of its purposes is to filter loose weed fragments from entering your mouth when you toke. To be fair, only bad rollers actually use a filter for that reason. Anyone who knows how to roll properly knows how to roll the "mouthpiece" small enough to avoid that problem without a filter.
A "roach" is what's left of the joint if you don't smoke it down all the way. People who know how to roll properly, but also use a filter are usually using it specifically to avoid being left with a roach, as they intend to smoke the entirety of the joint. Most commonly when it's a joint being rolled for many (4+) heads, or a very small joint where you want as little waste as possible. |
