btw the chris brown david guetta lil john performance.
they did one song and Guetta was ghost-dj'ing the whole time..playing with knobs, the whole works.
he must have done the whole song live.

i ended up seeing Skrillex with Diplo and A-Trak last night at the Belasco for a Grammy party... first time i've heard a set of his. I enjoyed it a bit more than I had predicted I would have... i'd describe his set as open format with more of an edge with rock and the gnarly baselines and breakdowns we all associate with dubstep.
Anyway that was probably my first and last time listening to an entire dubstep dj set but glad i did it. Also nice to see the Belasco for the first time. I'm told they finally are going to start trying to bring djs in there regularly. |

Loc is the manager of The Belasco. He used to manage Circus for a couple of years. |

Nero - what big names have they already booked there?
Anyway, Belasco is a nicely renovated club but nothing really more to offer than Avalon or the Mayan or Music Box (if that reopens) IMO... but always good to have more choices/venues. |
