i'm lookin into grad degrees and at this stage i'm open to just about anywhere in the world. i've got a bit of money saved up which i think can tide me over, but i was wondering if anyone here has studied abroad for a significant period of time (say 2 yrs or more) and what your experience was like?

i am looking into the Central European University which uses English as the medium of instruction, among other places...

that has not been my experience at all, i mean it would've happened by now if it were true :D

back to the topic tho, have you studied abroad.

No, but my brother has, and I'd say you'd be fairly hard pressed to find a lot of universities in foreign countries that do not speak the local language.

Clifford, I'm tired of your action figures falling into the tub when I take a shower. You need to find a better place for them!

you're right. so far i've found Insead which is known as a great business school, and the Central European University...but now that education is becoming more and more of a business, i would imagine that unis would feel pressured to internationalize and i think we'll start to see more offerings in English.

INSEAD is a fantastic school. By the way, the 'education as a business' line that you threw only applies to the tier-3 schools and below.

The top schools have to be more particular about maintaining their brand status as the worlds elite institutions. INSEAD's acceptance rate is about 1 in 4 and the school is very, very particular about being represented by students from every part of the world so you better have solid work experience with heavy leadership, excellent GMAT scores and speak more than 1 language proficiently. One of the pre-requisites to graduate from INSEAD is for you to be fairly fluent in at least 3 languages.

IESE and IE business school in Spain along with London Business School are 3 others that are well reputed around the world. IMD in Switzerland also deserves a mention.

I don't think that any of the organized crime rings who peddle the sex slaves you're looking to exploit require any formal degrees. Ask around tho.
