Wow atlas winds is the track J00F played a while back i got hooked on the 1st listening i thought it was an Airwave remix not an original. Keeps on top of the game even though he has changed his style a bit. A label to follow for sure.

Hey guys,

Just a short message to confirm that John and I are officially launching LCD recordings as a joint label, in fact we've been talking about this for well over a year, but we needed things in the market to take shape in first instance, why we already have 3 releases, we wanted to test things up first before opening the label to the audience officially. What's very important is the complete creative freedom we're offering with this new imprint. Based on what we'll be able to sign, we might release albums as much as singles. I think the first 3 releases cover a part of what we'd like to sign, but we stand open to any kind of material that's decent. You know how much John and myself love the edgy and high end tunes from the late 90's and early 2000's, they are too many too mention! This kind of music is still around, and we want to bring it back to your ears, bring back those legendary artists and those who followed. Keep an eye on us in the next few months from now!

Kind regards

Will there be any Vinyl releases ....

Well there have been some problems with Atlas Winds:

quote:
A message to my dear fans: I took note of the reaction of some of you who felt offended by the vocals in my latest track Atlas Winds, and I am thankful for your kind messages. As I stated before, I stand open for investigation, and this is exactly what I've been doing the last three days. The vocals were originally sung by Mr. Hammam Al Sayid from Iraq for a company called Sonokinetic in the Netherlands for their library Tigris and Euphrates: Desert Voice, which has suddenly been removed of their website without any notice. I used the vocals thinking they were 100% clean as I bought a license more than a year ago. Right now I am taking honest and detached advice from some friends of mine so I know exactly how to react the right way. Be sure that I won't leave the situation unsolved, I am just asking for some time to calm things down and then make the needed adjustments. I hope you understand that it wasn't my fault in first instance, but I still do feel responsible for being a little bit naive. I will keep my promise and solve the case, music matters more after all.

Saad Durrani I will fix it for everyone. The Arabic vocals are not vulgar. They are more like inspirational. The problem lies with the use. Adhaan or Ezan is sacred for Muslims. When Adhaan or Ezan starts, people stop talking (99% of the times). They would pause their music in its respect. In Bangladesh, they would stop cricket matches for it.

Quick update re: Ezan/Atlas Winds. I have located the origin of the samples, and have read the docs of "Desert Voice" carefully. The editor of the library was aware of the offensive character as stated in the manual. "Responsibility disclosure" is the message "in the case of mistreatment of those samples", not the fact it could be offending when used into music, which is what anyone would do using a SAMPLER instrument. I am now trying to find something that suits the track. I am on it that's all I can say. I hope you understand it's not easy. Thank you

It's a pity that he will have to remove the vocals (it looks like at least) because in my opinion is one of the main hooks of the track.
