Hello everyone, :)
just wanted to ask - how is Chicane doing in 2002? Any new tracks or remixes?
Please post everything you know...

There's been nothing concrete about Chicane since he did the two Cher tracks (check chicane.cc for info...) but the rumour mill says that he's now free from his contract with Xtravaganza and is planning to release a new album sometime in the near future.
The content of said album was the subject of some debate though as it was initially rejected by Xtravaganza which means one of a couple things:
A) The album isn't in the same vein as BTS, and Alex Gold thought it wouldn't sell well enough.
B) The album is just flat out crap.
I'd be more inclined to bet on A, but who knows? Nick has said that he wants to move even further away from dance music, which to me indicates a true full on chill-out album, or possibly even ambient stuff.
If Nick *is* free from Xtravaganza expect the new stuff to be released fairly quickly though, I'd like to think that the Chicane name is enough to get the new material pressed fairly quickly wherever he ends up at. |
