modern survival of the fittest

I wholeheartedly support it. Over here we have parents who won't immunise their children against Measles, Mumps & Rubella (MMR) because of a fangled link to autism. We also have bigger issues with the immigrant population because a disease we had totally under control is making a big comeback. That is Tuberculosis. Mainly through the asian families who themselves aren't immunised but there are thousands of new cases appearing now. Immunising is done for the best of reasons, I'm upto date on everything that I need and always will be, it's proven to work.

There is no link to autism. It's just theory that has never been proven and that's before you even think about the implications of not vaccinating your child in the first place.

Parents who refuse standard shots are irresponsible and paranoid idiots.

exactly, It's just an excuse but there are a hell of a lot of stupid parents out there now especially as the lower educated people breed way faster than the educated. My nana lost her best friend to TB when they were young and still remembers going to see her in the makeshift hospital they'd set up for them. If people want to put themselves through that, then that's their loss.

The whole Autism-Vaccine connection was disproved some time ago as being an elaborate fabrication by a doctor who's since been struck of the register. (Link)
Its also fairly easy to dismiss it as a hoax and popular to ridicule the people who believed it, but not a lot of people actually care to question what the medical profession tells them and the sad cost is lots of dead and disabled kids. Plus if it is a recognised and published article, then it does add a lot of validity to the story.

It's up to each and everyone to accept it.

Even setting aside the specifics of the vaccine controversy, doctors should have every right to ditch patients who ignore their advice.

I guess we all agree then.

Yeah, I don't understand what's going on. Every plug-in I try to use simply breaks :(

There is just a couple of links in the first post now, what are you talking about?

And I don't care what normal people do. If I think something else is better, I can do it, and it doesn't go against decades of medical research, then I bloody will do as I see fit!

I fight for freedom! And brostep.

Applying a utilitarian perspective, I think it is absolutely within a doctor's right to "fire" these kind of patients. 'em! Lolololol.
