I am in Montreal right now for the long weekend and my friends and I were at 1234 last night so I dont know wtf original poster is talking about lol...

Main room music was decent but too many young kids.

Going to check out Muzique tonight for Chris Lake

The original poster was simply sharing a news article from the gazette. He didn't write the article lol...

Sounds strange that a place that caters to the younger end of the EDM demographic would be choosing to change and cater to the more mature end. Don't get me wrong, I'll welcome another option, but it seems less profitable.

This club is designed to host darker / deeper sounds w/ his architecture, sound system & budget we have to put in.. with a proper facelift & darker decors.. :haha:

We're still doing pretty well, so until something happens with the permit which should be in 2013, thought with Max to start something proper.

Remember the Carl Cox & many other the shows that were held on Wednesdays back in the days, thats how it should be, all.the.time.

:)

Wednesdays :(

I had completely forgotten about those massive weekday bookings.
Were they not paying off?

man i was sooo hung over the day after carl cox at 1234

i think i lay on the ground for a good 30 mins

i agree w other ppls sentiments. if the club is to closed and re open then they have to cater to a different crowd. like malek said bottles + big djs = mega popular these days

got some good ideas coming up for may, fingers crossed

Thx man,

Your such a badass for posting this here. I hope you feel special.

Sucks we were open tonight, next week and next month.

Nice try.

wasn't being a badass.

1. was trying to wake up a dying forum.
2. was passing around news that somewhat has to do with the scene, as the place did sometimes throw some really good events.
3. this is fully relevant to the forum?

and nice to see that your attitude, goes with clearly goes on in the club nowadays.

but on a side note,
I think the place was beautiful, had great nights many years ago, and on the few events I went to there, had nothing but good memories, and seriously always felt bad that it was stuck in that vicious cycle. the place clearly has the potential.

I hope your attitude does too.
