That translates in Aussie to "Crikey! A metric -ton of hot, mate, A METRIC -ton - no need for the barbie, your ass is in one!" ;)

Nah man! The cold weather keeps me locked inside (except for gigs) and allows me to get productions done ;)

Winter's cool in Finland.

Winter is actually the most productive season for me, unlike summer, when my creativity gets completely dried out.

ing hippies and emos.

Stop navel gazing and thinking about being depressed.

I mean seriously dave - you live in Cali. 10 months of summer. Great wine. The streets are filled with bikini clad models and the weed is superb.

I mean what more do you want?

Having said that, good hash is pretty damn hard to come by, and expensive when you do. One definite plus of the UK.

Yes, I'm definitely familiar with SAD - my wife is a psychologist, so believe me...

Just wondering if others are afflicted by it. Like I mentioned in the OP, I never really noticed it much when I was younger, but these last few winters have been pretty miserable for me. Last year was far worse, actually.

You've never been to Sacramento, then, right? ;)

Rainy for 5 months, followed by 1 month of bearable weather, followed by 5 months of 100+F, followed by 1 month of bearable weather. My midwest blood would do much better in the UK or Seattle.

Oh, and what you call "bikini clad models" in LA are what refer to as "homeless crack whores" - it's a regional dialect, I believe.

That is why I live in Miami. It is hard to not be happy living here, it is like being on permanent vacation. It keeps the creative juices flowing because of the diversity of music that comes through here. Miami keeps your musical gears turning if you go out and listen to see what ideas you might be able to use in your own music.

This might help too Mark Sisson-How Light Affects Our Sleep

If all else fails, just remember it could be worse, at least you don't live somewhere with only 1 (damp) season all year round:p at least we have the Beatles & tea right?

A watery drink for watered down music! (ducks and runs in fear of life ;)
