People up until a few months ago didn't think anything went faster than light, but that was proven false.
If things can go faster than light time/space is a redundant concept because it equates a threshold that facilitates timetravel. With time travel time is only one dimension of space time organization and all dimensions can be altered. |

The speed of light however is not a constant, yet another failing of relativity. The speed of light is a variable factor based on its position in spacetime.
