Anyone Running MAME? A Problem Using My Xarcade Stick On My New Laptop

i have an original x arcade tankstick and recently upgraded it to usb support for my new laptop. after testing it online on the test page to be certain i installed the upgrade correctly, i then attempted to use it on my new HP 2000-340US notebook pc.
the buttons fucntion,but when using it on a game where you need to hit multiple keys at the same time it caused the screen to flip and freeze the game. there is no numbers lock on the laptop. so i cannot lock the numbers into the joystick. also plugging in a keyboard in the back of the joystick doesent work either and i shouldnt have to do that anyway. is there a solution for this problem?? |

Have you tried downloading a virtual keyboard to send virtual commands to the computer, or tried connecting an external usb type keyboard into the laptop to get functionality.
