You can tell when Nick Warren's on the decks. The music emanating from the DJ booth is that perfect club mix of driving percussion and soaring musicality, bursting out of the speakers, soaking everyone in melody, drenching them in sound. Warren's impressive career has seen him release the very first “Back to Mine”, a staggering eight albums for “Global Underground”, and one for “Renaissance” and Cream. He is also in control of A&R for record label Hope Recordings, as well as being a member of the highly acclaimed duo Way Out West. Starting as tour DJ with Massive Attack, moving onto a residency at super club Cream and playing at every self-respecting club on the planet, has led him to this natural position as one of the world's most respected DJs.
All this history has been eclipsed by Nick’s present: Nick continues to DJ every weekend all over the globe, whilst also maintaining Hope Recording's high quality output in his role as head of A&R. Nick’s DJ career spans two decades and is driven by a continual desire to evolve and change while searching out the new cutting edge producers from all corners of the world, in many cases long before they become established. This is no better represented than in the continuing bi-monthly Radio show 'The Soundgarden' on Friskyradio which attracts over 150000 unique tune-ins to each airing and his Delta FM show in Argentina. He is also a regular contributor for John Digweed’s ”Transitions” show.
2011 also saw the release of the highly acclaimed Balance 018 which received high praise from fans and media alike.

True to its meaning, Enigma shall present the crowd with cutting-edge, yet mysterious music based on Progressive influences that we have been dearly lacking in our beloved city. Such influences as those that spring from the heart of Argentina and the rest of South America, in addition to some of Europe’s finest and most deserving talents that have been long overshadowed by other genres and styles in Montreal’s EDM industry. Fortunately, here we come to bring forth a new generation of Artists, DJs, Listeners, Dancers and Dreamers alike all for the sole purpose of satisfying one’s deepest emotions and moving the dance floor masses in ways that have not done before. Relying not on “big” names, but on a well-rounded experience that engulfs a qualitative journey of sound; you can expect to hear, see and dance to the “unknown” in this night.
For our first edition, we couldn’t resist but to bring you back, after a long break from our city, one of Progressive house’s classiest and biggest pioneers to date. Nick Warren’s contribution to the house industry is by far one of the greatest and remains one of the most accomplished artists to date with countless years of experience putting him right at the top with the likes of John Digweed, Sasha, Hernan Cattaneo and more. Anyone who has witnessed the Legend behind the decks knows how smooth and uplifting the journey this Maestro leads can be, yet still allowing you to get your night’s dose of a dancing workout. Therefore, what better way to kick-off the start of ENIGMA?
It’s simple, a warm-up set by none other than Hish Mash. Not only here as one of Montreal’s finest DJs, but also as a collaborator on this night. With his mission to bring back some soul and life into the long-lost REAL PROG genre from our city, he promises to deliver one of his signature warm-up sets to set the groove for the night.
