Alright peeps,

First tune I've done in the last 12 months, this is now the 3rd year running where I have only one track to show for.

Anyway, it's pretty much finished but I'm not sure if the mixing needs more work. Maybe some of you could let me know?

It's a slow house track so probably won't appeal to most people on this forum but here it is anyway.

Thanks for listening :)

EDIT:

Ignore the picture, I forgot about that lol

I quite like this minimal/jazzy approach in this track, very cool and smooth atmo you have just crated in this production, quite impressive my friend, like it.

Cheers,

I listened a couple of times. I like the vibe and flava a lot. I think it would benefit from slightly more prominent kick once that big synth starts (around 1.20), as it seems a little lost maybe.

For me it's yearning a higher lead to join in after a while, like the odd echo'd vibraphone or something, just to balance it.

You ought to do more tracks Man!

I like the vibe man! if you had some momentum from producing more regularly youd be puttin out some nice stuff!

Nice man... loving the deepness. Low end sounds quite superb tbh, and the percs are great, along with excellent sound selection and production. Groovtastic

Not gonna lie mate, this is something I would play during an appropriate time slot. As a DJ, I love it. Gimme.

Hey mate long time. Yes you should produce more if you can. Love this track, great vibe and groove. The vox sample sounds good and I love tracks that have the repeated double kick drop that you got there. One thing is it sounds a little muddy, maybe thats the sound you want to add to the track. A touch more clarity to the highs/mids would be nice.

Thanks lads,

Music2dance2, cheers for your comments. I was going for a slightly rougher sound but maybe the mix could be clearer, something to consider for next time.

I ended up making this track with nothing other than 2 instances of v-station, one vocal sample and a selection of drum samples. Usually I use my virus TI but it wouldn't turn on (fingers crossed it's just the power supply) and v-station was all I had installed.

It was actually nice to be limited and forced to keep things simple.

Cheers
