I was playing this really really loud today, it was like Tresor in here. Playing really loud its one of the better mixes ive heard on TA. Some massive tunes in there, and silky smooth mixing.

I'm intrigued, since I like a lot of the tunes you put to the free download thread. ;) And I also need sometimes a fresh perspective in electronic music. :)

On it. It will take some time to digest it and report.

Thanks man. Yea I know what you mean and pretty much feel the same way. It's pretty lame, but I think the reason this happens is that I will start out with a concept for a a pretty eclectic mix and then I will have so much fun that I will just want to keep going with it. Trouble is, I often run out of tracks (as I do try to use mostly newer stuff) and end up just piling on the club tracks after a certain point. It's not the best thing to do, I know, but I think that in the end more people enjoy it than not :)

Oh and on the contrary, this is basically an output for me since gigs are few and far between. If I was gigging regularly I'd probably only put out 1 or 2 mixes per year. I think this is true for a lot of people today, even a lot of producers.

Hey Adam, so I listened and I thought it was very nice, lots of cool tunes, but I have a bit of a gripe about your programming. Mixing was fantastic, like usual, but the track arrangement could have been better imo.

I feel that you timed some of the earlier tracks well; Dario Zenker - Where Are You [Vakant] was my favorite track in the first hour. But after about halfway there was a bit of a meandering section for about 20-30 minutes where nothing really happened, you had a track or two that had a lot of samples firing off like techno has been doing recently, and then another break in the music where the tracks weren't very interesting. You brought it back with a vengeance with Octave One - Love And Hate (Cari Lekebusch's Revealed Remix) [430 West Records], which was ing awesome, but then immediately dropped off with a boring track. I feel that the last track wasn't a bad placement, but I would have liked it more if you played it earlier.

Honestly I think you could have cut the tracklist in half and had a much more successful set. When you are wandering in and out between good tracks and not-so-good tracks, it makes me lose interest a bit. Regardless, your talent is unquestionable and you have great track selection and great mixing. I'll keep an eye out for future mixes :)

Thanks for the honest and detailed feedback, Nick. Don't get that too often anymore so it's much appreciated. I don't disagree with what you're saying, but at the same time I think it's down to the individual listener's tastes. This is not a set made to please everybody, and I have the benefit of knowing what you're into for the most part. And I also think this is a case of the first hour being so good (imo, up until Nieves or so) that it kind of makes the second one sound boring in comparison, when it probably could stand on its own (though not be a particularly outstanding set or anything like that). Again as I mentioned before I get excited when I have something good going so I keep adding on tracks. This set was going to be CD length actually:p

I kinda wish that it had been CD length, personally. Two Hours is just kinda a long time :p I really enjoyed all the tracks, but I definitely enjoyed the first third the most (it seemed the most creative to me) and then around the 80 minute mark found myself losing interest. Still was enjoying the tunes and couldn't fault the mixing or anything, but sort of wanted to listen to something besides techno.

Not sure if that made any sense :p Basically, I liked the mix a lot, but wish it had been shorter, since it lost my attention after a while.
