I still thinking the biggest butthurt ever was when slylee flew over that guy from London and ed him for a few months and sent him back home with his heart smashed into pieces when she was done with him.
and how he put key loggers on her computer and found out she was banging other dudes....that was like a montel show...amazing |
Ha, when was this? I don't remember. |

Yes, it is, for intelligent people. |
With some effort, I still believe calculus is relatively simple. It's like anything math based, it's just following rules, really. That's a subjective opinion though. I've been keen on mathematics and science from a young age, so have found them quite straight forward, but in other areas I'm almost useless, like in retarded subjects such as Philosophy and Psychology.
.... well, that last part was just a dig as srussell's higher education choices, but the fact is that everyone has their brains 'wired' differently...... which leads me on to the following....

I was planning to go back to school for a technical degree but if I have this much trouble from the first half of a ing basic class then I'm pretty damn sure I can't hack a whole degree. |
You should treat this as a blessing in disguise, to be honest. It's better to realise what it's like now, then to scrape through the next year or two until the really hits the fan. The key to managing risk, is identifying it as early as possible...... from what you're saying, you've identified it early, if you honestly think you can't do it with the effort you're willing to put in, it's time to move on.
Is it daunting and stressful? Hell yeah, but you already know that........ and you can be assured you're not alone in experiencing this.
I've been at an all time low, personally and professionally..... and within a two month time frame I managed to double my salary, move cities, repair damaged relationships and start afresh. things can turn into ing miracles.
Anyway, enough vodka induced babbling from me, have a think about what you're options are, mate.
PM me if you want to chat off forum :) |

God Damnit, JBJ. Calculus exists in technical schools because it's there to weed out the people who can't hack it. |
Yep. Looks like it is doing its job, then.

From the outside and from a distance, this looks like nothing more than another of your abortive attempts at self-betterment, none of which you really give a about. |
I give more of a about them than about anything else I do. But maybe that is not saying much. |

| Oh for god's sake JBJ, get some happypills already. You didn't fail because you suck, you failed because you have an untreated depression. |

Can you answer my questions, please? |

Would having a higher paid job make you happier? |
Yes, that would definitely help a bit. On the other hand, doing my current job at four or six times my current income would still be unacceptable to me, so I would not say that pay is the main thing.
| quote: | | Do you define yourself around your source of income, or your level of income? |
No.
| quote: | | Do you want a job that you enjoy doing? |
Yes.
| quote: | | These are not rhetorical questions, I'm genuinely interested in whether you're miserable because you hate your job or because you see your job as a reflection of yourself. |
Both. The job itself is mind-numbingly boring, and it is also a reflection of my continuing failure to take control of my life and get into something better. |
