Dennis Ferrer has been kicked off the decks in an incident at a Miami Nightclub.
For those who may not know, Ferrer is a veteran of soulful house music production who has worked with the likes of Masters at Work (MAW), Little Louie Vega, the Martinez Brothers and many other notable New York producers and DJs. Dennis is also the founder of Objektivity record label. With over 100,000 followers on Facebook and a legendary discography, the next paragraph is going to blow your mind!
It appears that the famous Mansion nightclub in Miami will have none of this “non commercial house music”. In an attempt to educate the crowd, the veteran went out to play some proper house with an overwhelming response against just that. Is this a sign of the times or has EDM become mixed up in a pathetic club world run by a music mafia? Dennis Ferrer Set Pulled
Props to Dennis Ferrer, the dance community is behind you!

I love Dennis's productions. Church Lady (Original Mix), Touched The Sky (Original Mix), his remix of Fish Go Deep - The Cure and the Cause, his Son of Raw - A Black Man in Space (Sax Mix), etc. Pretty messed up they did that. He should come to LA and play. I don't think he's been here for a while. I would definitely go see him.

It's kind of funny how this has blown up all over the place when really the only person to be upset at here is the booking manager for the club. Mansion isn't the type of place for Ferrer's sound so they made him get off. Ferrer still got his money and we re-confirmed to never go to Mansion again. No big deal.

Dennis also said he was going to 'educate' the crowd. Mansion is not a place where you do that... he might take some blame here himself as well if we went way too deep.

sure it is...but not for this no-namer.
if kaskade wanted to drop an OM set from early 2002, it would go JUST fine.
It's not about the music, its about the artist.
Alan, if kaskade had been playing minimal on the truck on the streets of LA, he wouldnt have been getting chased by all those kids???
