Yeah I do the same thing Adam... mostly because I don't want to start typing a defense to my argument which could take a good 5 pages that are complete with rebuttals, etc. I already do that in school and will be doing that in my future career, why the would I want to do it here, lol.
That and sometimes I have horrible phrasing that I don't feel like re-doing. Like this post.

I used to write long posts and work on my debating skills around here, but I just don't have the time to keep coming back and have a productive discussion... so, although my posts have become shorter (with the exception of humorous posts which don't really need a follow up), I can't say I've stopped many posts halfway through, but I do tend to make them more concise now.

I don't often do it here, but I often find myself previewing a reply on other, more tightly moderated forums and realizing I'm asking for a 2 week time-out before I say " it" and move on.
Usually, just typing the response is enough to convince my subconscious that I've actually clicked "reply", so I don't regret posting nothing after my storm of insults become a quick switch to google.
But honestly, what good is a forum if you can't post "You're a ing idiot." without fear of moderation?
