Taj and some others have thrown parties here in the past.
I just got word that they are remodeling the place (a burrito/taco place called Fat Taco that operates out of it during the day have to find a new home because they are doing the remodelling), and I hope it's true. I don't know to what extent, but hoping it turns out to be good so we have another decent club in the city.
I always have said the place is OK as it has so much potential if it was done right. It's not huge, but could be a good spot for a solid promoter to book mid-card DJs at. Even some bigger ones on the right night...

| This place needed remodeling badly. I've always contended that the DJ booth needs to be moved back to where it was years ago. A complete remodeling may help make better use of the space.(maximize the dance floor in front of the DJ booth, wherever it may end up) Good news! |

I've always liked that place, but it needed a lot of help.
More than anything, I hope to see someone use the space for small edm names again. LA has a solid flow of good artists, but we don't get any of them here! |

| Skills did not pull this off well at all. If someone can figure out how to use it im totally there. But for 3 shows or so i went to there were maybe 50 people. Even doubling up talent. |

Same Venue
Hopefully remodel went through, have heard it did & looks nice. Before we left there was talks with GM bout this. Made suggestion to the GM that the DJ booth go directly in center of room =) |

Think the night was called Sequence 1st Sat of month w/ Roger Shah, Lange, Max Graham, Blake Jarrel & others pewr month.
Love the space just wish people did too. =) |

| I was always just too broke for skills parties. but id definitely check it out now if they started bringing trance back to soma that would be pretty grand :toocool: im already at the cat club every other weekend, between this that and the endup i could stay out from 9-9 and hear 6 different genres within a short walk. then its time for church (7) they got any of those on folsom too? ha ha |

| I meant to reply to this thread a couple months ago after I walked by ClubNV and it had a noticed of it being scheduled for demolition. The whole building is now gone, along with the parking lot next to it (which will just further reduce the # of parking spots in downtown, and raising prices at other lots), and an office building isn't being built where it and the parking lot once stood. |
