You see, I love the bassline, and it is what made me relisten it. The melody itself is dark and suits more the role of a soundtrack than a song for the 'regular' listener out there.
This is my personal opinion, you should not change your style because of what anyone tells you, it should only serve you an informational purpose, but i'd say change the melodies since they're somehow too simple, add some effects, some variation, make your song not something uniform but give it something we can talk about. Even some electro sounds since they went mainstream..
