that's awesome.
- i called a gaming hotline in 1990 or 91 to ask for help finding an item i needed to complete shining in the darkness.
not only did this come out of my pocket money but the s didn't even have the info i was after.
-after a particularly awesome scene in ripper, i had a nightmare that night.
-i stole what became my favourite game for more than a decade, tie fighter. and i don't mean online like a fag.
i made up for this by buying it twice later on :) i don't spose that helped the store though.
-i never played system shock, total annihilation or fallout :(
-i ed dad's 386 by installing the dragonlance dragon combat game, dragonstrike, over some files integral to making the pc work. the government IT guys had to fix it for him.
-i took a $20 price tag and put it over the $68 price tag for golden axe on the megadrive. my cunning ruse was fooled by a sales manager, so didn't get the game until months after.
-my sister is better at tetris and alex kidd than me.
-i have loved a game called flowers of crystal
im sure i'll remember more later :) cool idea for a thread.

-Out of all the Doom clones of the 90's, I feel this one went under the radar the most.
Actually, it was a rather big piece of , but I loved it as a kid.
-I remember buying a D&D Gaming Collection package deal back in the mid 90's, containing the titles Dark Sun: Shattered Lands, Dungeon Hack, Unlimited Adventures, Stronghold and Fantasy Empires. I lost the rulebooks almost immediately after I opened the package (somehow), and was never able to get past the beginnings of any one of them.
-One of my favorite RPG's of all time happens to be on Sega's underappreciated handheld, the Game Gear. Of course, my copy gets left behind at a hotel in Hawaii, and is never seen again.
Defenders of Oasis, bitches.
-When your in 5th grade and a place like Funcoland, whom thrives on ignorant kids trading used games and equipment for values far less than they deserve (not that I dont blame my own dumbass self), disasters await. Didn't know this, of course, when I sold my Sega Saturn copy of Dragon Force for a mere $20. It goes for no less than about $150 today.
