probably a bit late on this, but yeah, the LFO Tool plug we wrote was more or less written on our gripe from no internal modulation plugs or mods within ableton live.

alternatively, if they still even make it, "pluggo" was what i used to use... it was MSP based, and bulky in that respect, but the neat part about the Pluggo sweet was internal routing between the plugs in the bundle to crossmod whatever you wanted.

Pretty soon, i think were gunna see some new ports in the VST SDK that will allow for cross-plugin communication (hopefully at audiorate) as LFO tools LFO via MIDI isnt exactly audiorate... but . it works for most of what i need to do anyway.

That would be cool. Will it be implemented in VST2.X or VST3, or are we talking VST4?

Yep, you can still get the pluggo tool and there's now a ton of others made by users (such as liveFO tool) which are a little less buggy.

Would probably be vst4 but god how I wish they would consolidate AU and VST to be backwards compatible and crossplatform :whip:

audiomulch is pretty impressive. There is another one for mac by that french developper although like everything french seems to be taking forever to get anywhere, They are still in beta mode for the last 2 years. I can't remember the name but that was kinda like audiomulch. I think they are all pretty much modular audio software but on a higher level of abstraction than max msp.

I believe that's what Deadmau5 eats for breakfast.

looks like LFO Tool explicitly doesn't do what I need it to do* in Logic because midi CC out only works in the VST version... doh

*EDIT: version 1.1 of lfotool can do it via IAC bus
meriter
okay well here's a 6 page thread detailing why this is impossible* :whip:

http://www.logic-users-group.com/fo...read.php?t=2481

*EDIT: not actually impossible

wayfinder
it's all ing clunky because of the midi loopback

i wish Live had the same interoperability as Jeskola Buzz.. that's really the only thing i miss hardcore since switching

just plop an envelope follower, or an ADSR, or an LFO in there and operate any parameter in any machine with it. man Live needs that.

Send it to an iac bus, then route back to logic. The delay is not noticeable. I do find the cable guy plugins are more sample accurate.
