Very similar tunes, I know they both came out in 1999, but if neverending melody came out first I on Ferry & Tiesto !
Because gouryella became a huge hit and neverending melody not that big.

But I dunno which one came out first so....
ahp2002
gouryella was first

the similarity is amazing indeed, i already noticed it in 99 :)

gouryella wins all over, because its just an awsome tune, fire & ice isn't that good, realy:p :p

I like Neverending Melody much more... Dunno why but I like Tenshi and Walhalla much more than Gouryella, and Ligaya ehhh... I like that tune the least

I think they're fairly similar, but not very much. I'd never noticed it. Even the melodies aren't exactly the same, and the rest of the tracks are certainly different. Regardless, I like Gouryella more, but it's not a very fair comparison from Neverending Melody's point of view -- it's still a superb track. :)

personally, i prefer the gouryella.....but IMO, the best track with goryella in it is walhalla (armin remix). oh yeah! :)

Man, what's with these threads putting Fire & Ice out to slaughter lately? :p

First we had San Antonio vs. Urban Train, now we've got Neverending Melody against Gouryella.

And again, like the SA vs. UT thing, I *like* Neverending Melody, it's a solid track, and it's *vaguely* reminiscent of Gouryella, but I think it's flat out evil to compare the two...at least for me since Gouryella is one of my favourite tracks of all time...

Fire & Ice make some solid tracks, and I make a point of getting their new releases, but they're just not up to the same level as Tiesto & Corsten IMHO...

yeah
there's a bit of a similarity
both tracks r great imo
i love fire & ice's work..and gouryella...you just gotta love!
seems like a lot of producers have been getting ideas from ferry & tijs

I was wondering when was someone gonna point this out... The tracks aren't overally very similar, but there is extreme similarity between the main riffs (Sound, developement, pattern).
I personally prefer Gouryella but am really into NM right now...
Project T
gouryella is the ultimate daddy
