Fabfilter Saturn MB distortion (pg. 4)

I dunno, I've never really found much use of distortion/saturation except for the overdriven filter sound to make a synth scream and growl.

Like last night I was playing around with this big Softube saturation knob that comes in the Pro Channel of Sonar, and it sounded terrible at max settings. If it sounds terrible at max, I don't know why I would even use it subtly.

Play around with the demo, it really does soo much more! But dont mix it 100%, subtle is better unless your looking for that overdriven sound.

alot of these plugins have non linear response. So subtle will not give you the same thing but quieter. Alot of plugins do this. lots of compressors will react to how much you throttle it. Much like asian escorts. You are using a mandigo setting that will give a really annoying i'm probably about to get a ing ninja star in my head where as say , a gentle djryan sized amount, you get a cute pondering tee hee, i ready so me horny.

I use distortion on the master.

have you tried the waves summing tool ? I tried the VCC and felt like i bought some ing herb that cures retardation.
tehlord
Speaking of summing tools, I still want to try a TLA Fat Track, or one of those SPL Mix Dreams
djshire
Too bad they don't make the Fat Track anymore....
