Thanks, man. Glad you liked it!

Imo you should/could use better the height area of the mix. An abandoned space waiting to be engaged. Depth is missing as well. Too many elements on the same height.
Also, delays could be organized better. Again, that space could be used for the echoes. Noticed delays are static.
Make them breath over the entire spectrum.
The melodic content as well...too centered. That flute sounds thin.
I like the concept of the kick, but don't like its character. Imo a different one would be better. A rock type kick, with that typical tight punch, would fit greatly from my point of view.
This is one appears muffed and not centered also.
To be honest I really like your sound selection, except for the kick.
Sound selection is great, but it needs to be better organized.
And maybe give some more power to the bassline.
Overall the mix is not problematic. Needs just a better placement + kick change to make this piece shine.
edit: btw, my compliments for the clap |
Awesome feedback! Just working it out and thinking of the nearly same things. I'll definitely take a look at the panning, tomorrow. Thanks a lot. |

Reminds me of Trentemøller or other more 'electonica' artists. A friend of mine showed me a song just today that was similar to this. Not meant for clubs but for listening.
Also, there was a movement around 2006/7 right when I was introduced to EDM. Idk if it was called glitch house or minimal house or something but it was similar too. |

nice man I like the dubby elements and the sitar, just listened on my laptop speakers so I don't have anything to say about production... I think generally people will like this, it's not really dnb i'd say it's downtempo or chillout
i might trim a few minutes and refine the general structure of things |

| ing love the melodies and harmonies in this, especially with the stringed type sound that made me feel Arabian towards the end there. I love the organic tones to all the sounds you have created and how you use them. it does get a bit muddy it seems in the midissh low region, and the kicks seem to offset the rythm created by the claps at times. Very cool here dude. |

| I've been messing around with my monitors trying to get a better sound out of them, and after setting the room control more appropriately your song still has some kind of low end funk. It's not bright enough either. |

I think I've mentioned before that my neighbour listens to stuff just like this, it's uncanny. I enjoyed being enveloped into this, and admire your free thinking when it comes to music.
Two things that I dislike a lot;
1) The bass sound. It's been used in this sort of piece a lot of times. It's to me a very basic slap guitar digital synth thing, you could make something so much more unique and classy, and I do mean MUCH more.
2) The kick is out of character here. It sounds like a classic euro hard kick and very much like kicking a plastic bucket.
I'd say go much more organic and accoutstic. |

Thank you, gents! Glad you like it.
meriter - yeah. Right tempo but probably not enough kinetics for D&B. I might change that, though.
Beatflux, I'm on it. Thanks, again.

I'm working on both of these issues and think I have a bass timbre and drum sounds you'll (along with myself) be happier with. The drums were already getting serious attention, but I took another listen to the bass line and made adjustments, accordingly.

It's kind of odd because I'm always using Thor to make these weird organic sounding synths. I don't really set out to do that but...
Thanks, guys. Really appreciate the feedback on this and I've incorporated, or plan on incorporating, about 90%+ of it. |

| some mix crits would include as others mentioned a more prominent kick, a better bass sound design, and bringing the high end elements more to the front. still, a reaaally intriguing listen and i'm interested in hearing the next version :) |

this is really some weird piece of music, but i like the darkness in it! ;) although it's sound kinda unusual in it's elements and patterns, the fact that it is intended makes it really interesting! very original...
keep it up! |

Hey check out my soundcloud, will support this!
First off the delay is terrible in the intro, the kick is dull and life-less. The Bass could be ok, but needs more groove.
Its sounding like a bad horror film. I can hear how your trying the phrase this so its not boring, but that bass is static.
I like that ethnic guitar.
After 3min, i started skipping through. Got bored.
You need to make some fills every 16bars in my opinion.
I think it needs alot of work and better sound selection. |

| That's a very nice idea musically, I like it. Second version is without doubt better so good job on translating feedback into improvements. One thing I didn't like is a bassline. I would change it to a reece bassline, so you can throw some more variation with filters to avoid sounding repetitive. Otherwise, good job! |
