monitors ?

what sort of treatment and how did you go about applying it ?

I'm trying to save you 3000$ on something that will not do anything for you what so ever.

im upgrading to focal twins like alan has and my treatment is fine

What the ?

Just ing set up your sends in your so it outputs to your DA10 going to an external reverb unit, then patch the outs on the reverb back in to your AD10 and route accordingly in your sequencer.

You don't need another interface as you can create an aggregate audio device on mac.....
Looney4Clooney
lol

don't even waste your time with expensive converters when you have focals. Wasted money. And i'm pretty sure your treatment isn't fine. Did you run actual tests, do a floor mapping and chart the response of your room ? or did you just put foam everywhere.

Applying treatment does not = treated room;

look man, i'm not trying to have a go, you just seem to have this illusion that things will just make your magic. I'm telling you that unless you really have a certain threshold of monitoring quality, all this you are talking about is completely wasted.

and how does he get the sound out ?

the mac internal audio jack ?

so 3000$ in converters with a mac output as the master out ?

are you drunk ?

And with the bricasti you seemed keen on , well reverb. you would not want to go D/A so no point in adding latency and useless conversions.

wow thats what i said in the beginning thank you

your converters have 2 channels. The routing uses these. And you are left with 0 to route your audio to your monitors.

Unless your are talking about the ultralight you didn't say you were actually using.

Then you should use that for routing, not the LA10's. The LA10's aren't interfaces, they don't show up in your settings.

wut about headphones lol or spdif to my ultralight and connect those to the focals
Looney4Clooney
spdif to digital hardware fx , you have stereo I/O

Bu then you have to use the converters of the motu which begs the question, why bother with the lavry's if they will be sent a comprised signal.

Basically you are wasting your money getting expensive converters with your current setup. You will not notice any gain in fidelity. It is a waste of money for you.

Oh , my bad. Not drunk (yet - it's only 3pm here, gimme a couple of hours), just stupid.I was thinking of the LA10's and coulnd't understand why he wasn't thinking of using the other 8 channels.

So yes, OC, you need a decent ADC. Get the Apollo just to make Dave jealous :toothless

orTofønChiLd
oh man so your saying i won't able to route to reverbs and compressors with my DA 10 if i get the AD10-11
Looney4Clooney
look , until you get proper monitors, and your room is actually treated , ie not just placing where you think sound will go but using math and calculations and strategic placement of more than one type of absorber and resonator, expensive converters just don't give you anything.

The money is better spent on a good soundcard.
