A colleague was dismissed from his job with a rather large audio company and he told me how they actually pay people to crack the competition, mainly one company. THey fired him mossad style like security guy , no warning, no possessions allowed outside. And he was offered a rather nice severance with the condition he not even mention the company or even look at the name. Pretty crazy tho. It does kinda make sense tho. The audio industry has always been brutal but this seems like below the belt penis slap. And they were vague but insinuated that they have more than just legal ways to make sure he doesn't start saying things that might make the company look bad.
He was also dismissed for no other reason he can think except he found some weird documents that should of been erased and since he is a tech, and replaceable, well they just sacked him.

| i''m willing to bet every software has been cracked by some asian/russian group which then blackmails the company so that it never shows up. |

Actually it wouldn't surprise me at all if they cracked other companies, and I've got a pretty good guess as to which company you're talking about.
It's a bit long, but worth it so have a read of this link I posted in the DJ Booth about the history of DVS;
http://who-invented-digital-vinyl.co.uk/
It has everything from people infiltrating competitors companies and working as double agents, to magazines supplying review models from one company to another competitor to reverse engineer their designs, to trips to scientist inventors in Switzerland (and what spy story is ever complete without a trip to Switzerland?), to people trying to backdate patents only being held by strange shell companies....all this and RZA (from WuTang) getting screwed out of $2m in the process.
Audio industry is serious dark ops at times. |

| I'd take that severance package, liquidate everything else, and find another place to live. |
