Aiight, I think I'm finished with it.. Take a listen and let me know how it sounds.

the track is yearning to be balanced out by more low end. The highs are very bright and loud. I love the cymbals, and the percussive work all around. interesting kick, nice and punchy. I feel the synths could be developed further to add some more depth to it all around. the second lead type stabby type synth that comes in at one min sounds very raw, and a bit "cheesy" one might say. maybe give it some spank and make it a chord (if it isnt a chord already, which it sounds like it is not) and give it some more presence. The vocals in my opinion (i have never worked with vocals) seem a bit to chopped up in a filter, they osund almost muffled with high mids.

Lovely composition. coming together nicely.

i would HP the hats a little. that lead doesn't have a very appealing rhythm, and tends to dominate the mix, especially competing with those vocals. even some automation on the filtering, but the patch itself i think needs work. seems to fall apart quite a bit toward the end, lots of mud with the vocal and synth competing. feel free to experiment with a chorus effect on the lead ,EQing it, etc, because it really needs some work. the vocals seem to sound okay. just keep at it. how long u been producing?

Thanks guys- Great feedback. As far as your suggestions, I really appreciate it. Every track I make I set out to challenge myself in a particular competency e.g.: in this song, creating and aligning the chord progression with the vocal, and then developing the track around it. I also tried to do it using sounds that will eventually define me as a producer e.g.: the bassline, and 2nd verse synth I called beachball.

I'm also concentrating on my percussion elements. One of the hardest things for me as a producer is "groove". Mostly the question and answer type effect between two different sounds creating what a step or groove, that someone I think would bob their head to. So for you to compliment me on my percussion elements is really appreciated.

As far as how long I've been producing. Well, I'd say technically 3+ years. However, I can't really say that I concentrated as much then as I do now on really being a producer. I also think this past few months, since my remix of:

that I really grasped some key concepts that I should know as a producer. I had several A Ha, moments through out the making of this track that I think took me to that next level which has continued up and until now.

Anyways, I really could go on and on and on. LOL!! But I'm sure you get the point. Again, thanks for listening, and if there's any other suggestions, recommendations, or feedback, I'd appreciate it.

I think this is a nice song

im listening on my laptop only, but i just feel like its lacking some punch or "smack"

you could maybe use a nice compressor on the kick and clap?

It can be painful to do, but A/B your track with a pro track and maybe look at it through an analyzer

Just my 2 pennies mate :)
