lol, chores are the best for procrastination. They let you tell your inner taskmaster, "Hey, I'm getting something done! I'm being productive!" |
I find it hilarious how I'll rather do anything other than what I'mm supposed to be doing. Essay due tomorrow? Better clean out the fridge, vacuum the whole house, do my laundry, drink me own piss, and watch porn for two hours! It makes no sense at all.
In other news, I want the cold to take me, after getting only 3 hours of sleep last night. |

My sister takes this to an art form. That's why I take pride in my cluttered desk: I do my fair share of procrastination, but at least I'm doing something (loosely) related to what I was supposed to do, such as reading :p
Although posting here definitely doesn't count. |

Well, that makes me think two things;
The first is about the "think" you did as well with or without procrastination. It's relative to a certain level of success but it kind of reminds me of Frasier's less is more rule: Is less is more, think about how much more more could be.
What I'm saying is, you probably could have excelled even beyond what you managed to achieve, but you didn't need to as it sounds like you were happy with "pretty much A's" which by anyones standard is great. I think it's more of a case you've been smart enough to not have to try harder than you can get away with. I had one guy in my class that was the only guy who never missed a deadline in 6 years of school. He was devastated he only got 6 x A*'s (A - with outstanding distinction) and 5 x A's at GCSE level, and he even asked for 3 of those A's to be reviewed as he felt they should have been A*'s. He's now a professor in genetics at Oxford.
Which brings me on to the second point - by the detail in your posts, you don't even register on the scale as a procrastinator. You do the planning, time management, the coursework and the prep work. The only bit you seem put off is the actual execution which frankly everyone hates doing (apart from that guy above) and as you rightly say is just ing annoying, but by that stage the job is virtually completed anyway. |

But I didn't and neither did you? So really, you chimed in about how you procrastinate when it turns out, you don't procrastinate and are great at time management and planning ahead. Thanks for clearing that up :gsmile: |

Porn is like, the ultimate procrastination-station. One minute you're sorta focused, knocking work out, next minute, 10 tabs are open and you're feeling filthy. Also, you've wasted at least half an hour. |
Nothing wrong with that, unless PETA and/or FBI start inquiring about your viewing habits... |

Reading this now (of course, instead of studying for exam, working on a project that's due in 2 weeks, or design document that I need to submit to get paid. YEAH!)

| I keep meaning to read this thread because I am a horrible procrastinator but haven't really made the time to do so, yet. |

| Reading anti-procrastination guides is an excellent way to procrastinate. |
