A few weeks ago, Act I of Cosmic Opera introduced an extraordinary new dance experience, combining the incredible talent of Swedish House Mafia's Axwell, with the beauty and mystery of the opera, all set against the backdrop of the magnificent Hammerstein Ballroom. Act I was the Overture, and now Cosmic Opera presents the first taste of Act II: Imbroglio, which will bring intensity, conflict, and charged emotion.
Act I, which sold out in minutes unveiled the 35 foot tall chandelier with over 5,000 crystal beeds which hung above head to the sold out room of ecentric and eclectic party goers, not to mention the 40 actors and aparatic dancers roaming through the crowd.
"As it would be for a true Italian opera, our first Act was an overture. It was the initial combination of opera, theater and EDM. In Act II we will continue to build the event series and go deeper to explore the possibilities of Cosmic Opera with Imbroglio."
- Justin Cohen, Cosmic Opera Founder

Act II: Imbroglio represents the evolution of Act I, taking the phenomenon and expanding, transitioning, and unfolding it to new heights, new depths, and everything in between. As Newsweek's Daily Beastsaid, "The show has become a full-blown laser spectacular to the point where one feels like they're in the movie Tron. Cosmic Opera is where the music is the story, the action and theatrics developed from the music brings it to life in ways you've never experienced before. "Manhattan Center's Hammerstein Ballroom cannot wait to show off Cosmic Opera Imbroglio, and the second of our open-house shows since May 1997." Sarah-Jane Bennison, Director of Sales and Marketing, Manhattan Center.
The mystery continues, the journey continues... what will happen this time around?
Thursday, April 5: Fedde Le Grand, Zedd, Funkagenda, David Berrie
Whether Fedde le Grand is demolishing legendary festival Coachella; racking up a straight hat-trick of Beatport #1’s in the overall charts with Autosave, Control Room and his massive remix of EBTG’s Missing, completing the year with So Much Love and the massive remix of Colplay’s Paradise; or touring most of the known world devastating clubland – Le Grand is the name on everyone’s lips. 2006’s Put Your Hands Up For Detroit was number 1 in five countries – Spain, Russia, Finland, Bulgaria and the notoriously hard to crack UK chart – and scooped a raft of gongs including Best Underground House Track, Best Breaks/Electro Track, Best Breakthrough Solo Artist at the IMDA and, Club Banger of The Year at the 6th Annual Club Awards in Miami. Collaborations with Will.i.am from the Black Eyed Peas, Rob Birch (Stereo MCs), MC Gee, Mr V, Mitch Crown, Camille Jones, Ida Corr and more provided Fedde with a rich and diverse pool of vocal talent to wrap his ideas around. In October 2011 he soared seven places up the influential DJ Mag Top 100 DJs Chart from 21 to 14.

In 2009, Zedd began producing electronic club music to much acclaim. After only a few months he participated in Beatport's "Armand Van Helden / Strictly Rhythm Remix Contest", which he went on to win. This opened up a number of new possibilities for Zedd, and only shortly after, he won his second contest on Beatport, the "Fatboy Slim / Skint Remix Contest"! This was the foundation for several cooperations with artists such as Black Eyed Peas, Lady Gaga, P. Diddy, Skrillex, Fatboy Slim, Armand Van Helden and labels like mau5trap, Interscope, Atlantic, Strictly Rhythm or Skint Records. His first release "The Anthem" entered the Beatport charts top 20, and even made it to the second place of Track It Down charts. His remix for Skrillex's "Scary Monsters And Nice Sprites", released on 'mau5trap recordings' climbed up the charts to #4 on Beatport and #2 on Beatport's Electro House charts.

| This doesn't appear to have been selling too great. tickets are still available and to be honest, the lineup doesn't justify the ticket price. |

Besides the DJ line up there are usually a few other things considered other talent ie: performers, venue of course, lighting set up, marketing costs, etc.
I missed the first one so I am going to check it out to see for myself. The fact that there's other House events @ Roseland and Pacha the same nite definitely doesn't help the ticket sales either :p |
