Dear people,
If there's a BlkMarket Party in an unannounced location, automatically assume it's in BK. If you live in Manhattan, feel fortunate if it's close like the Maya Jane Coles party. At least they usually make it close to a subway location if you don't want to pay for a cab/car.

Go easy on our Techno guido. Some Jersey troopers up in this place to trek it out to the middle of nowhere in BK for proper techno. Some drive at least an hour there and back for it. Not everyone is fortunate enough like us to be a 10-minute cab ride away.

For real girl. Its not bitchin, its legit annoyances in time travelled. Even living in uptown can be a ridiculous commute to these things. Jersey drivers might actually have it good in comparison to subway-riders.
I have since taken enormously priced cabs because I would rather not deal with the hassle, but the first couple times I went to one of these type of parties in BK, it took me about 2.5 hours to get home between the walk to the train, the wait for 45+ minutes for the train, then the actual train ride (which is almost always running local on weekends) and walk home thereafter. At this point and hour of the day, I usually want to put a gun to my head and end it all out of pure exhaustion. Add the hour and a half it usually takes to get TO the party (usally faster going in!) and sometimes aint worth it.
For a 4 hour travel time, Im either ditching all together or bringing cashmoneydollars for a cab.

anywho, moving on to reivews! Wake up people, I wanna hear about it!! :p

My ride from Jersey is about 1hr. I sometimes prefer just driving straight to the place than dealing with the trains. I learned to stop complaining since it is either BK for good techno, or do what everyone else does in the suburbs APPLEBEES.
Where are the pictures of IDA??

Last time i was there it was a while ago. Great party. Loved the vibe. I don't know who the opening dj was but he played a good set. Ida set was basically a continuation of the opening dj ;). when Adam came to the decks the vibe changed fast. He did a good job of keeping people interesting for a long time. loved his begging and his end the most. My car was parked on fulton street and i had to leave at 7am due to parking alternations. The crowd was still strong as i was leaving. Also an other thing was that it was 3guys-1girl ratio. which was a pluss. You were not surrounded by dudes at all. drinks were strong.
some cons would be:
*the lack of speakers in the back. too loud at the front most of the night. Not to mention sound line up did not do any justice. distortion everywhere.
*ty security altitude. Mandatory coat check or pay $5 to keep it if you didn't want to check it. and that meant any article of cloth. i had my usual zipup shirt. Dude gave me attitude about it. i told him off, walked to my car left it there and walked right back in. focker
*crowdeness. no matter where you were you would randomly be pushed to make way, or elboyed by shirtless lic' douches with their shuffling peadance moves as they're trying to impress the ladies/brofriend.
all in all a great experience. Would definitely go more
7 am vid i took just before leaving

Not gonna lie. i kinda felt this. But there were moments when he droped some nice track and or good effect. So, yeah i was pissed he did not went all in. He was to coughtious to try to keep mellow enough not to ware people out. Being that he was going to play for so long, but i got bored. it was like a boring roller coaster ride. With a very fast downslope, long downstream and fast upslope [ for visual \______/\_____/ ]
like i said though. the peak songs were superb. the only reason i had fun. I think 1.5 hs or shorter would be perfect for him. :)

Is that just blkmrkt thing to not put speakers in the back? Kills the vibe for me, the CLR party would've been a lot better with those , ESP the prices people are paying you would think they would invest in some, shame.
