This is an improved version of my 5th ever trance track. Below is the old version.
Please leave any feedback on the new version
Cheers :) |

Your bass is a bit untidy - the bassline is overlaying the kick making your bottom end a bit muddy - some eq down there would help.
Your kick is a bit wrong for the type of track - I'd find something with a bit more bite
high end sounds good though

Great track, I'd say dial down the verb/delay a little to make the synths a bit clearer, and turn down the sidechained pad a bit.
Other than that, really nice track! |

Your'e getting there Mike, but a few things to look out for;
+ The clap / snare is lost in a the fizzy high end
+ The kick does not relate to the track. I used to eq forever, but really your time is better spent just finding the right kick, which may mean auditioning hundreds of the fukkas. Even then some eq work may be needed and some layering perhaps.
What do I mean by the kick does not relate to the track? > It doesn't gel with it, it doesn't sit well and in this example it's too woody and boxy.
Don't panick, it's one of the hardest parts about EDM, choosing the right kick.
The right kick will sound good on monitors but also on heads and little pc ty speakers at low volume.
I've lost a lot of life hours to kicks I can tell ya. |

So you're saying that the kick should be a bit weaker and slightly mor punchy??? |

No. There's too much low end, in the kick. WAAAAAAY too much low-end. You've got to cut and shelve it. Listen to the pro tracks, comparable to what you're trying to create. Do it side-by-side with your mix. Your track is lousy with kick bass and it sounds horrible. |
