Like I mentioned in an earlier post, definately rent a car and explore the island. It was the highlight of our two weeks there

I would reccommend you get a shot of this view of Es Vedra

This beach (cale d'hort) is perfect to stop at on the way to the vantage point above, the restaurant on the beach is fantastic. You can take a short drive/hike up from here to reach the the spot in the picture. Def worth the short hike

This is a great spot to go for a day (cale xarraca). Its on the northern part of the island, but its worth the short drive. There is a reef out from the beach a bit that is nice for a snorkel session.

Oh yea, best club nights for us
Sunday - We Love Space
Monday - Cocoon at Amnesia
Tuesday - Cox @Space

Thanks for all your tips. I really like garbi and probably that's where I'm going to stay. Great location. The only downside seems to be their bed sizes (2 single beds).

As for clubbing I plan to see tiesto or avb on Monday (or whoever else I can on that day), Carl cox on Tuesday at space (after some boat party) and erick morillo Wednesday at pacha

Do you guys recommend I buy these event tickets online through Ibiza-spotlight or should I just buy it once I'm there? Any difference in prices?

And finally, are there beach parties, and if so what part of town are they mostly found?

A for playa den bossa, is the city/town pretty lively during the day time or am I better off to go elsewhere for that?

I'm trying to make the most of the 3 days i will Be there since Im pretty sure this will be my first and last time goin to Ibiza.

Thanks for all the comments

playa den bossa is good during the day. around 5 years ago they began to enforce a daytime curfure, so it isnt like it used to be.

Bora Bora, and other beach bars have to keep their music at a certain db until 4PM (unless thats changed). But there is a nice strip of beach bars along playa den bossa. Of course there are the sunset bars in San Ant, but there isnt much of a beach in front of them.

On Monday there's cocoon (sp?) at space or amnesia (forgot which one). It's a bit more techno and not so much house but it's the best party on the island.

Buy the tickets there, the discount isn't much but I found that it was 2-3 euros cheaper than online and plus you're not locked into a schedule and can decide what you want to do the day of the events.

Play Den Bos has Bora Bora during the day which is a pretty dope beach party. There is also Ushuaia.

Make sure to see the sunset in San Antonio at Cafe Deal Mar/Mambo!

My schedule changed a bit and unfortunately I will be ibiza from Thursday to Sunday afternoon. Which means I have to reschedule everything. Plus hotel Garbi has no room for th days I'm there.

A friend of mine whos been there recommended me hotel mare nostrum. I'm lookin at it now and I see it is much cheaper than Garbi which seems a bit of a red flag since its location is also on the beach. Anyone can comment on this hotel? Anyone been there?

I have to find a hotel before its too late

Suggestion: Book a hotel now that's fully refundable, then look for something better. Booking.com and Ibiza Spotlight can help with that. Maybe try Fiesta or Algarb, reviews available on Tripadvisor...good luck! :)

Bali Beach Apartments

I stayed here for a bit while I was on the island. Its literally right next door to Hotel Garbi (and on the beach), and is part of the Jet Apartments (but is a short walk away, not connected). Its in the perfect location and the rooms are great. Totally worth the money and there is a sick bar called "Beach Palace" right below it. They are owned by a cool german crew that serves great food and hosts cool prepartys at their pool. You should def see if they have rooms left there.

:D

For a GREAT selection of restaurants go to San Antonio. You can find just about ANY type of restaurant (mexican/american/japanese). All at reasonable prices. Highly recommend Ibiza Rocks restaurant, great food and they have a huge screen to show soccer matches. The food at Cafe Del Mar is amazing as well , but pricey.

Playa Den Bossa has the worst selections of restaurants around. Everything is cheap, boring and plain. All of them serving the SAME damn microwave pizzas/hamburgers. If someone has any good recommendations for Playa restaurants please lemme know.

S'enramada is in PDB, authentic Spanish cuisine, huge portions and very reasonable, EUR 21,70 including tip for everything below plus a drink! I really wanted to have dessert there, but no room left! :)

Oh yeah, they even had free WIFI!

very nice restaurant...KM5 but you need to make reservations ahead of time. here's the link

we went there for our anniversary dinner in '10. slightly pricey but well worth it. nice attire required. we enjoyed it. we had a car to get us around the island...taking a taxi might be costly. drive was pretty. if you can, try it, if not, oh well. there is alot to do on the small island. :)

Feeling the love for the English right here! :haha:

Will admit in my times spent on the White Isle have never come across any Americans. Do you many of you guys/ppl you know make the trip? I have a few friends stateside who have always wanted to join us, but have never actually committed.

From a quick flick through of this thread, seems many are opposed to San An. For me, this is the best place on the island to stay > well, we always stay San Antonio Bay. Hotels here are great, real beach on your doorstep with bars such as Bay Bar just next door. San An is as chilled as you make it - sunsets at Mambo never get boring! Eden & Es Paradis don’t have to be your thing to stay here, you should make the most of the bus service – whether you need to travel night or day. Seriously forget the taxi cost, save the €s for your club tickets. The buses are safe, cheap & run all hours – this is how we always get about during trips to Ibiza Town, Playa Den Bossa, etc & of course to the centrally located clubs, such as Amnesia & Privilege. You’ll also find that a few of the San An bars put on free transport to clubs, if they’re hosting a pre-party for the event.

As a few of the other guys have said on here, there is always something going on but Saturday is generally the quietest night of the week. Cream at Amnesia is a must on a Thurs & Pete Tong has moved back to Pacha this year, he always puts on a top night! Don’t advise buying any club tickets in advance, these are for sale in all bars/restaurants/shops across the island. You will never have a problem finding a place to buy them!

Tell your people not too get so drunk in the streets of San An! :haha:

Whenever I would tell Brits I'm from LA (Or California), they would say "wow, you are a ways out"

Guess that means you live far away.
