Loxy
Loxy began his journey in 89/90 at events like telepathy (marshgate lane) & dungeons and just fell for the culture. Got serious and decided to become a part of the movement and pursued and perfected his craft soon after. Being from the B-Boy & Reggae & Dub background, it wasn’t totally alien getting into the vibe of this new phenomenon – which was then known as acid house, soon to evolve in to what we know and love as drum & bass.

Loxy’s first dj gigs were in 1990/91 at Psychotic and Time events. Since then he has held down residencies at Metalheadz, Renegade Hardware & Therapy and has played at events such as Respect LA., Exit Records Night, Sun & Bass, Creamfields, Fabric, Club Jungle, Desire, Logical Progression, Speed, Swerve, Elevation, One Nation, Slammin Vinyl, Valve, Break Beat Kaos, Revolution, Legend of the Dark, Movement, The End, Theory and many more…
Also being the man behind the inception of the 4horsemen which has grown from the original four to now being a more collective of like minded people creating music all over the world, with further lp ideas and releases coming in the near future HORSEMEN 2011 LP WATCH THIS SPACE….

Around 93/94 Loxy ventured into production leading to many releases on some of the most respected Drum & Bass labels as well as collaborations with others including: Bad Company, Consequence, Ink, Keaton, Dylan, Digital, Resound, Ena, Flatliners, Genotype, Gremlinz, Swift, Zinc, D kay, J. Dub, Usual Suspects & Universal Project. On top of all of this, Loxy is also the owner of the following labels: X-Tinction Agenda, Cylon Recordings, CXigital….
Loxy is currently touring to promote the recent release of his collaborative effort with Resound, the “ Burning Shadows”LP on EXIT Records and has a lot more in store for 2012…

Vicious Circle
The collective known as the Vicious Circle began life in a flat in South London in 2003. Born out of a mutual love of all things Drum & Bass and with a wide range of influences, VC set out to make an impact on the ever growing worldwide DnB scene. 8 years have passed since those early hedonistic days and in that time Vicious Circle have become one of the leading lights in UK Drum & Bass.

As a production outfit, Vicious Circle have made their name through a strict quality over quantity approach to their releases. It all started with their massive remix of pioneering outfit Universal Project’s Jackhammer’ which caught the attention of legendary label Renegade Hardware as well as a number of A-List Dj’s such as Pendulum and Friction. Rarely has such a strong debut been seen and the track immediately catapulted VC to the forefront of the ‘leaders of the new school’ category and they have steadily built on that early success with a number of key releases. In the early days, Tracks such as ‘Hellrazor’ on UP Recordings, ‘Between the Lines’ on Renegade Hardware’s Carpe Diem LP, ‘Bleak’ on Trace’s DSCi4 imprint and of course their highly anticipated debut Hardware artist EP ‘Welcome to Shanktown’, set a standard in terms of production quality and sheer dance floor energy that few have matched. This early hype was followed by a storming 12″ on Shy FX’s Digital Soundboy imprint and multiple releases on label of the moment Critical Music.

Their talents have led to a number of high profile collaborations with the likes of Ram Records hit makers Chase & Status, the legendary Dom & Roland, Fierce and new skool heroes Jubei and Sabre to name a few. A reputation as remixers with the magic touch has spawned a number of smashers such as their monstrous take on Mindscape & Chris SU’s ‘Planet X’ with RymeTyme and alerted the major labels in the scene so expect some hot remixes in the near future. More recently club anthems such as ‘Snorkel’, ‘Control’ and ‘Broken Silence’ on their collaborative album with Universal Project on their own imprint Siren Records generated widespread critical acclaim, culminating in it being voted 5th best album of 2010 in the most respected drum and bass magazine, Kmag. Tracks from this album and a single on cult label Quarantine appeared on Andy C’s Nightlife 2010 collection as well as DJ Marky’ Fabric CD. As DJ’s Vicious Circle have toured from USA to Japan to New Zealand and of course all over Europe gaining a reputation as some of the sharpest in the scene, consistently tearing up the dancefloors.

Radio appearances on Kiss FM and BBC 1xtra to name a few have also been warmly received and have helped VC gain a strong fan base across the globe. The future is looking bright for the London boys with a solid stack of releases covering the full DnB spectrum lined up over the coming months including material for the forthcoming mixed artist Quarantine LP,’Oblivion’ and the highly anticipated collaboration with Nocturnal, ‘Last Chance Saloon’, which is the next release on Commercial Suicide. There are also works in the pipeline on Goldie’s legendary Metalheadz label and their recent Metalheadz Podcast reached number 4 in the itunes chart. So with a new found versatility to their productions giving them the tools to bridge the gap between the ever growing sub-genres of our scene, Vicious Circle should be the name on everyone’s lips for 2012.
