Yes?

What?

First off, if she was genuinely mentally handicapped, they'd have used it in the banner headline. That's how the media works. Sensationalize and scandalize. The fact that they didn't play it up smells fishy.

Second, so what? If she's capable of handling her finances, then caveat emptor. If not, then why the is she making any unsupervised purchases? Either she's a ward of the state & the province takes care of everything she does, or she isn't and suffers the consequences of her stupidity as a result. You can't suck & blow at the same time.

Guess you didn't hear about the guys in B.C will 24 aliases and with 88000 stolen IDs or some like that, got out on bail for $500.

What I find funny, you can kill anyone but if you turn against your country you are "dead" :haha:

It's sad that someone would rip someone off in such a way ... it's also sad to see someone who's paying next to nothing for rent, collecting our tax money, not to survive, but to drive a fancy new car.
Silky Johnson
Except she wasn't trying to buy a fancy new car, only new tires.

exactly.

So then she should have just bought tires. If she's so mentally deficient that she doesn't know how to say "no" then she shouldn't be allowed out of the home.

When I go to Best Buy to buy a pair of speakers, you know what I leave with? A pair of speakers. Not a complete home entertainment system and a new 65-inch HD tv, even though that's what their employees are trying to sell me.
Silky Johnson
Are you for real? Bloody ignorant fool. Read a book or something.
The Ear
Sounds like you've had a similar experience when shopping for tires.

Silky Johnson
No, it's just that you come off like a huge moron. I'm sorry.

That's a tad bit harsh imo. Anyone can be born with these challenges or worse in life and to say they shouldn't be allowed to leave the home isn't exactly fair. It's bad enough to not be able to perform daily duties like the rest of society but to not be allowed out of the home is a bit nuts dude. That's not very different that a situation where someone in a wheelchair gets mugged cause they can't chase the criminal, should the solution be he's not allowed to leave the house?

Ideally our society should perform at a level where people with disabilities don't get taken advantage of. Realistically it's not the case due to douches like this. Absolutely correct that she should've been weary and had someone accompany her but it's very possible she doesn't have anyone that could.
