Hot collaborations change the perspective of music production from just individual work, and throw a very innovative flavor into the mix. Baiaz Project is a brand new collaboration between Mariano Ballejos and David Diaz. These two trance geniuses have been into the dance music scene for so long that their expertise overloads our brain waves, so much that we're not sure if the world is prepared for their new material.
"Love & Devotion" is the name of the first cut from this release, and the one that gives this magnificent package a name. Like the old days of trance, a massive analog kick drum breaks the silence with some basic hi-hat percussive pattern, thrown in with some spacial samples and sounds. There is a moment where the kick drum stops but some kind of freestyle drum line starts its way to climb the highest place during this progressive-uplifting tune.
Sometimes going back to the basics is the smartest idea and "Last War" is a piece of music that really delivers an authentic classic feeling with a long attack in its sawtooth bass signal. A sweet progression of chords gives rebirth to those classics moments in trance, and during the breakdown you'll hear some euphoric reverse synths that end in brushes of progressive trance colors.
"Red Noize" is probably the nastiest track in this EP; the tribal percussions keep us nodding in sync with the main, dark synth. Like a cold breeze during midnight, the track gets to a smooth moment where a filtered mono synth appears to sing a sad song above a group of bright strings that results in an enigmatic, creative, harmonic and breath-taking drop.
They've been moving the crowds and shocking the turntables for several years, and now, they are offering 3 tracks that are already leaving traces across the global dance floor.
