tracks that go nicely together

Hi there.. im having trouble putting tracklists together. I am looking for tunes that go well together and more importantly tunes that fit nicely when changin style all of a sudden. I'll explain what i mean.

I like to start my sets with tracks such as Moonshine, Solar Coaster, Epic Monolith etc. and then move onto tracks more uplifting such as Dreamland, Can U Feel, etc. and then bring in some epics such as Binary Finary 1999 before finishing of hard with energetic tracks from more harder artist. But i am finding it very hard to make the transition from Set Starters --> Uplifting --> Epic --> Hard/Energetic and finding vital tracks that can do this.

Any recommendations on how i shud go about doing this.. or recommendations on tracks that fit nicely together.

Hope ive made myself clear on what i need help with.

Thanks in advace (and aplogies if i hav put this in wrong forum. i was debating between here or the amater section but the description on this forum said mixing techniques so i chose here :) I hope i hav done rite)

If you want soothing songs...

use Solar Stone - Seven Cities (Armin Vocal Mix) which is good to start off with since it has a intro...you'll need to mix in a song with the same beat....i tried to mix it into solid sessions but it didn't go well...but it goes...

use Jurgen Vries - The Theme (Original Mix)....obviously raise the tempo since this song is slow...

or you can replace Jurgen Vries to Armin Van Buuren - Yet Another Day...

and im not gonna tell you a tracklisting....If you can't be creative with your mind, mixing and song selection then Djing isn't your job.

Madonna - What it feels like for a girl (Above & Beyond remix)
Fragma - Everytime you need me (Above & Beyond remix)
t0ast!
prolly my favourite track2track mix ever:

riva - stringer (original) --> push - strange world (2000 remake)

i go nuts everytime i do it... :)

I got totally off when I listened to pvd live @ mayday 2002...

Mixing Misja Helsloot - First Second (Original Mix) with Tillmann Uhrmacher - On The Run (Ocean To Shore Club Mix)... I was cuming all over my room! :D

I suggest you listen to that set, it has many styles of music in it!You might get some cool ideas! ;)

the mix from revelation into 10in1 on tiesto's dancevalley mix is a sweet combo. He ed it up of course, but it does sound super sweet.

my fav mixes from this set are from On The Run into PVD's rework of massive. And also from Ayu - M into Dreamland. There breath taking.

i suggest trying tunes that have a weaker beat in them at the beginning, if your finding the transition hard.

i use tunes with weak beats in them if my beatmatching aint happening.

works for me, might not for you.

:p
