There were numerous similarly gimmicky and trite rave records that hit the charts around that time. When the Prodigy released Charly in 1991, Mixmag ran a cover saying "Did Charly kill rave?" The funny thing is that to an entire generation of clubbers and musicians, those records were their introduction to dance music and are deeply revered. So many hugely respected producers who release deep, experimental music will cite the Prodigy's Experience as their first taste of dance music.
I'm not going to lie, I love Ebenezeer Goode and I've had a huge amount of fun dancing to it in the past.

That is a classic case of a generational thing. I came into the scene a little after that and I still go crazy with joy when i hear darudes sandstorm though that isnt exactly electronic mozart. its just that i remember how much fun i had dancing to that track at clubs during the college days.
