| email them, say you aren't happy with a competitors products, ask them to cut you a deal. Works every time. I would say they main thorn is UAD. So say you aren't happy with the latency, and loved the demo. and you want to buy more, but feel that you were kinda robbed because your kid was in the hospital and you missed out. Granted waves given their geographic locattion are haggling jedi's, But i have faith. |

Hmmm...not a bad idea. I already have the Gold, RenMaxx, SSL4000, and Maserati bundles, so the only product I really want from them right now is H-EQ, but it might be worth a shot.
BTW while we're talking Waves, are any of you guys using the other H-series or V-series? I gotta say, I really love these products, particularly the H-Delay. |

| For me, I'm sticking to the API collection for colour and SONNOX because i already got them, for FX I'm all over Valhallaroom and for the rest all cubase standard plugs, Have bought way to many plugs in the past, need to get more use out of what i've got. |

| logics eq can't do m/s Eqing. For a dance artist i would of assumed this is pretty much essential. |

Believe it or not, Ableton EQ8 has a M/S mode. |

| So played with H-EQ today, works as expected, my V9 plugs are not sluggish at all? maybe that's a MAC thingy? |

I bought it, too and it was well worth the $90. I'm guessing that the sluggishness was related to iLok, because v9 is noticeably less so. I've noticed the sluggishness in other iLok'ed plugins. |

Actually, I have a conspiracy theory about this; Ilok have always denied this as they never wanted to take any liability for performance issues but I think the sluggishness is caused by the code that requires constant USB polling to verify that the ilok is there. It's another sub routine that the program essentially has to perform that has nothing to do with it's actual function of providing an FX etc.
Another reason why I hate ilok and so glad waves dumped it. |
