What do you guys think? I've still got a lot to do but thought I'd ask what you thought.

This is the best song I have heard from you! Now, I think there are some good ideas but like you said, it needs more work. I actually like the melody and such but it is the sound and structure that needs attention. For one, your drums need to be more stereo and bigger sounding. The song gets repetitive towards the end. I would also stray from the off bass style (kick-synth-kick-synth-kick-synth-kick-synth).

Your house lead that plays by itself at 2:43 is pretty good.

I think you need to keep getting better but this shows improvement!

thanks for listneing. Really all my effort started at 2:43 and on. I just organzied the beginning so it was there =)

I've listened to it a few times since this upload and so far here are my ideas:

#1. At the first break, filter sweep the synth down and then back up again when the kick comes back in.

#2. At the thrid break, where the kick plays over that "synth", cut the bass out of it.

#3. Disguise, Disguise, Disguise the melody... Yes it can get a little redundant so I need to hide it more. I need to refrain opening it up too early and have other elements carry it until the "big one"

Anyways, I'm on this wierd sleep schedule so I just woke up. I'm gonna get up and going and then I'll jump back into the studio and spend some more time on this.

More updates to follow..

you just need a production partner who can do the technical stuff (the bass and drums) while you write the big breakdown and leads. that breakdown is ace.

I'd work w/ anyone so long as we get along and share similar tastes in music. As far as this track is concerned. I got back into it pretty hardcore today. Here's the result:

Lots of updates:

Mixed everything thoroughly
Re-Did the Bass
Added another synth element to compliment the chord progression
Tweaked the volume on every track so it was maximized
Cut the bass on the break drums
Sidechained percussion elements

and lots of other stuff..

Sounds better imo..

More feedback is appreciated..

Stop posting this stuff in the wrong forum.

Stop using four bar loops - because no matter how much you modulate it, it's still the same four bars. Don't use eight or sixteen bar loops. Just stop using loops, until you can make a song that doesn't sound so loopy.

Stop mastering your songs - they're far too shrill and if I want to hear louder, I've got over 250 watts at my disposal to do that with. No one needs you to make it ing loud enough for them.

Stop ignoring negative feedback - your failure to profit from adverse experience is unparalleled by everyone but the most pathological sociopaths.

I want to like you. I really do. You have some good points about you but you make it really ing hard when you pull like cross-posting along with ignoring the previous, ample suggestions you've been given.

main chords def have potential and it sounds better than the first version for sure, but still needs lots of work

theres basically no audible bassline, and the percussion gets drowned out with the filter opening up. the lead has a cool predelay reverb on it but is just waaay too loud.

do what i do, take out all percussion and make sure all of your musical elemnts mix in well together, then add percussion one at a time. do this and report back.

oh and also, DO U EVEN SIDECHAIN?

irony is that the melody is the only thing he didn't make.

Honestly, everything about the track is wrong.
