Not a whole lot for me to say here, but I couldn't fault this technically in the least. This is mixed in a very energetic and dance-friendly fashion that doesn't let up, and at the same time is hardly noticeable, which is an ideal combination that I sorely miss when going out these days. I just wasn't as blown away by the tracks personally, partly because I've heard quite a few of them so many times before, and partly because I was never all that keen on some of them to begin with. That's just personal taste though.

Nicely done.

Cracking premise, even better mix. Listening to it in the sun for the second time today.

Yeah, this was pretty much exactly as good as I expected it to be, given 50% of the tracklist are big favourites. The unexpected tune of the set for me was that Tom Middleton remix which I've never heard before. That is a perfect track to bridge filtered funky house and melodic prog. The mixing was very good, apart from some occasionally rough EQing (Embracing The Sunshine comes in loud), a few typically bold Dave King transitions.

Peak of the set was this for me:

quote:
13: Zee - Dreamtime [Perfecto]
14: Utah Saints - Lost Vagueness (Oliver Lieb Main Mix) [Echo]
15: HHC - Home Alone [Perfecto]
16: Mozaic - Rays Of The Rising Sun (Dekkard & Danes Mach Dub) [Perfecto]

The HHC track is We're Not Alone, by the way, although your mislabel made for an extremely pleasant surprise when it came in. Nice work overall, got me right in the mood for Cream (which was amazing).

Yeah the top end percussion in Embracing The Sunshine is quite overpowering, I had the hi and mid eqs down at 9 oclock but still wasnt enough. Shouldve filtered it. That Tom Middleton track was a total punt, theres no listening facilities in the BHF so trusted my instinct that a cosmos remix on junior would be worth the 50p!

Hehe, I wrote out the tracklist at work on my lunch and remembered the title wrong. Glad you enjoyed it though man, are you coming to Entropy on the 13th?

Just about anything with Tom Middleton's name on it is worth a punt, the man has been consistently delivering absolute gold in almost every genre imaginable for nigh on 20 years now. One of the very best names in dance music, without question.

Entropy is very 50/50. I would absolutely love to come down and see you play, but I'm not even sure I'll be free on that day and it's a long way to travel.

He's one of the most down-to-earth people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting too.

Dave, do you host any of your mixes on your local host anymore? I'd love to check this out but work blocks nearly all of the file sharing sites.

Hey man I listened yesterday at work, and I had to take my headphones off a few times but it was a pretty fun, housey set with some cool tunes in there. I enjoyed it! Nice job buddy
