Cheers, as always, Frenklee! For sure had to move beyond caring about a couple little mixing foibles in this one, nothing major, but man - if the point is to stop being so self-conscious and just enjoy the music, I gotta learn to stop analyzing that .

At least an hour or two a day. I subscribe to Jacks suggestions in terms of trying to utilize Beatport to its fullest extent (making good use of "my beatport" and multiple crates/hold bins), in order to trim down the amount of time I spend there. Then the rest largely come from combing Soundcloud, listening to other DJ's sets (and always having a notepad handy), regularly checking a handful of blogs and label websites, and really just giving most of what's suggested to me a shot.
I've moved completely away from any sort of promo pools, and rarely (if ever) bother with the handful of label promos I still somehow get sent.
Basically I just listen to as much as I can, and if something seems worthwhile, I make sure it's somewhere I'll be reminded of it.

Do you make money off of it, in the sense that you do gigs?
I've been playing with the idea of doing some DJ'ing or perhaps producing myself for ages now, but I just can't find the time.
That's why I have to resort to just listen to a lot of stuff. But even for searching for tunes by my own I can't really find the time anymore. Busy job, and I bought my own place a couple of months ago. That's why podcasts like these are just the thing I'm looking for :)
If there any other podcasts you can recommend, please do! I pick up Plastic Love sometimes, and things like Jimpster's podcast, livesets from Soul Clap and those guys.
