Or at least threaten to on facebook:
| quote: | | This weekend, L.A.-based DJ Fei-Fei Wang performed at Armin Van Buuren's trance party at the Beyond Wonderland rave. Within hours of her set, her Facebook wall was plastered with personal attacks. People were calling her a "dirty whore" and saying things like "Someone take a shotgun to Fei-Fei." Why? The DJ, dubbed the "bad girl of EDM," had played dubstep and other music that wasn't trance during her set. |

I, for one, would be quite intrigued by a trancefamily "take back trance" movement. For so long, they held strong in their belief that their sound was pure, that their heroes would never be corrupted, forever after playing out the same ol' uplifting bangers 'til the end of time. But things are changing, and they wish for their scene to remain pure, they must viciously attack any and all that may seek to corrupt their purity.
They thought Above & Beyond would remain pure. They were wrong.
They thought Armin's DJ Mag reign could never be overthrown. They were wrong.
They thought dubstep would never be played at a trance event. They were wrong.
They must take back trance, for the family of trance fans. It must be done. |

When they came for Uplifting Trance, I said nothing.
When they came for Armin, I said nothing.
Now that they have come for me, there is no one left to say anything. |

Did they come for the Jews before they came for Uplifting Trance? |

Trance is going to kill itself and go underground again. Thats the thing that this whole Trouse movement forgets is that House was made for the clubs. Trance was born in the underground and then moved commercial to takeover the mainstream. Now that it is no longer the undisputed champion of EDM, it is making the critical mistake of trying to mimic House instead of saying FU and just fading into obscurity. Now they run the risk of killing the sound and alienating their fanbase. Half the kids at UMF don't know the difference between a Trance song and whatever shlock Guetta plays. These new fusion songs aren't helping matters either... |
