John O' Callaghan. Rumble sound?

Just wondered if any of you wise trance addicts could help me out.
I've seen John O' Callaghan a few times now and in each set, the constant beat through the tracks has an almost rumble like sound. It's absolutely immense anyway.
Question is, what is it? Is it an effect on the mixer? Surely it's not specific to the track selection?
I noticed Ben Gold had a similar sound during his set at Sankeys on Friday. |

probably it's more attached to the style than to any effect, reverb should create a rumble with the kicks but it's not the kind of effect i would use for long, although a lot of producers use a bit of reverb on the mastering stage.
John plays tech trance with heavy kicks i see he likes a wooden type of kick seeing his compilation subculture 2, i can tell you that this kicks rumble a lot when played on a big room, blame the echo. |

It's almost certainly the room bouncing the kick about the place, over 140 and it starts to get a bit silly if the kick is heavy and loud.
JOC is still awesome although he does make some fetta tunes. |

It could be middle-bass on some of the tracks or just experiencing the tracks on a big system. Room size can transform a track. |
