^^I might have been the only one curious about the price, but then again, at the time I was not aware that there was open bar. Didnt really read my email thoroughly, saw someone post the price in these forums, and my jaw dropped. lolol :wtf: :p

Tickets are around 240 with tax and fees per ticket... Just got an invite. +1 for everyone who gets an invite so you can buy two tickets.

Still sounds like it's going to be a great event and worth the money.

I agree this is pretty expensive but I also agree to each their own-will people pay anything once you add "open bar" to a party ? if thats the case they should charge you all 300 pp. I am sure that could somehow be justified as well.

a thought...in Manhattan, people would pay a couple hundred to be on a sunset cruise on a nice boat and see july fireworks, say, with some mediocre dinner buffet served. (no djs/good sound/booze or after party included). i'm sure such a thing would make a lot of profit and be geared at a different audience.

add premium open bar. add legend dj. add supporting djs. add after party. silly not to realize the unusual combination of things participants are getting for this price - really can't be matched for the money with anything i've heard of in New York city. In my opinion, the price is deceiving, but actually pretty much a steal when you put it in the NYC cost context.

100+ or less than 200 ticket buyers are paying for the costs of having the boat, fuel, docking, transporting it from FL, the sound, the premium endless liquor, the dinner, and the after party. if you want these things, someone has to pay for them, and that is simply the ticket buyers.

pay for those, and they give you sasha, strong supporting djs, a memorable experience not like much else, and thoughtful planning and event production - at no cost to you. they're not doing it for profit. if they were, you'd see far higher prices, and it would still most definitely be sold out.

let's also not forget that basically everything about this event is a bit of a luxury. i think it comes down to how much anyone wants to experience Sasha in this setting. if you don't want it enough, you won't like the price. if you do want it, be real about what you know things cost in NYC/in general, and appreciate that this is even possible (if you can get an invite, that is).

actually I forgot its on July 4th and you get to see the fireworks- so is actually not a bad deal.

Haven't gotten an invite (though I got one for Slate), even if I did... yeah those tix are pretty steep unfortunately. Buying and renovating a condo has put a serious damper in my budget :(
