Picking scabs

Do you do it? Or are you able to refrain yourself from doing it?
I play football on artificial grass so from the season start until the season ending, one knee is a complete scabfest. Of course when I'm working I can't pick scabs (because I'm wearing pants, but mostly because I don't want anyone seeing my do it as it's obviously disgusting), but I spend most of my time picking them when I'm sitting on the toilet. There I have easy access and a clear view. Plus, I can leave the scabs in a place where I can't be bothered by them. Profit! |

| Yes, surfing while eating is generally inadvisable. There's really no way to ensure your food would stay dry. |

When I was forced to go to that crazy ass cult-Christian school one of the students, who clearly had special needs, would pick her scabs all day long and eat them. She seemed pretty oblivious to everyone else around her, so I doubt she gave a most people were disgusted. When I asked one of the teachers if she should maybe stop the girl from doing so (as she would bleed all the time because she picked her scabs so often) the teacher quoted something from the bible about teaching a guy to fish.
Goddamn I miss that school. |

My sister does this, not only that, she tries to pick MY scabs, ing weirdo.
I suppose it's no big deal removing the scab when it has served its purpose and starts to crack. But why the try to pick at it when it has just formed, exposing the wound to infection and delaying the healing process? |
