this is very true statement and after Mikey mentioned this in a thread long ago, i always make sure to wear nice shoes... either with guest list or presales.
i had a buddy who was on Kaskades list and was denied entry... literally b/c of his shoes. |

Which is ing RETARDED because practically all the hosts working are wearing chucks or some other type of tennis shoes.... Sol wears chucks.... I dont think any of the working staff actually wears dress shoes... |

I always figured it was a way or reason for the door guy to deny access. |

You're right. Its just an excuse they use to deny access for whatever other reasons wouldnt normally be valid. |

I've only gone through the front entrance once and that was where the door people were the most power trippy. All the other times, I've gone through the back through the pool area or the side entrance near the pizza spot and I've never seen them give any issues to guys about the dress code. |

well I wasnt referring to marquee in particular, but yeah.
an example that came to my mind was when I was at the bonaventure for a bridal party dinner and everybody wanted to go down to "suede" in the lobby. I walked up with 4 hot girls and I was denied access because my $160 pair of creative recreation shoes were not considered "dress shoes". Meanwhile, it was a halloween party where people were inside with sandals dressed up as village people but I was told there was a dress code....um yea, Im thinking its more of the dumb fat ass hater at the door wishing he was me, and wishing he was running a high end nightclub in vegas rather than a small lounge in downtown LA with a 100 person capacity. |

Also - Don't forget that once you are inside, be sure to behave as if you are walking on egg shells. With 100s more people still waiting outside to be let in, and with the club at capacity, they are just looking for an excuse to toss you out in order to maximize revenue.
My girlfriend, who by the way was quite sober, tripped on her heels and the bouncers told us to leave because she was too drunk. Explaining what happened was met with replies of "I don't give a ".
Basically Maruqee is a club that you really don't enjoy much if you don't have a table. You can't walk 5 steps without stumbling on to an area where you are blocking the way of people on tables. The dance floor is ridiculously small and the walkways are rammed so its next to impossible to find a permanent spot where you have a view of the DJ as you keep getting told to move. The outdoor area however is awesome. |

mens presale (50) you buying 50 tickets?! you should get a group rate! door discount might be $25, you're better off buying a $30 ticket and not have to wait. |
