vegas scene is a bubble. will burst in a couple years due all the djs being recycled through on a monthly basis. people will have to get sick of seeing and hearing the same music plus im sure each dj has a "vegas mix" pre recorded on their laptops. people who say vegas is the us ibiza are a long ways away from using that statement imo. |

Agreed. Vegas is fun, but LA's lineups are typically MUCH better. We still get the mainstream acts, but we get a lot of other stuff, too.
And if the argument is that Vegas gets pool parties... well, LA has those, too.
Not saying Vegas isn't fun, but it rides the pop wave. A few years ago all of the clubs there played crunk and pop-rap. And when the DJs+pop fusion thing fades away (and it will, it's the nature of pop music), Vegas will move on to the next thing. |

hahah "vegas being the u.s. ibiza". I go to both frequently. I really wish this was the case!! They both serve their purpose, but I just wish the music scene were better. I hate to use the word better, maybe if they had diversity. That would make it so much more complete. They could probably bring in a Carola or a Jaime Jones and save some money on dj's at wet republic. |
